Figs!! How do you dry them?

I have lots of fresh figs and would like some good recipes but would really like to know how to dry them.

Any ideas?

I dry mine either in the sun,covered with some netting to keep the flies off or in a very low oven.
I then pop them in jam jars cover with port or port and brandy and leave for 6 months.
Lovely with some ice cream or in the bottom of a trifle.

I don't like fresh figs but dried and soaked in port or brandy sounds delicious with some ice cream so will give that a try

Eat them fresh - they are much better than dried - and don't always have the rumoured effects!!

Another idea I recently tried is to cut fresh figs in half, drizzel with honey and bake for about 15mins. Now serve them with ice cream or plain yoghurt if you are feeling healthy...delicious.
