Hello.
I am just saying hello as I am new to the forum. I am June and my husband is Geoff. We live near Ansiao, in a village called Pereira and we moved here on December 1st and its been very interesting so far. We love being in the country, our house is finished and I have started a small veg plot and am loving it all. Currently doing language course in Alvaiazere 4 nights a week and its really time consuming as you would imagine but enjoying meeting others and having a laugh. Rolling Eyes

Hello fig tree and net net.
Nice to hear from you. We viewed a few ruins in chaos once when we were looking. I remember all the rocks everywhere, it reminded Geoff of Dartmore. Also know Alvorge now as registered with the Doctor there as she speaks english.
How long have you been living here now? and how much of the language can you speak? This is our 5th month and getting worried that we cant seem to remember anything we learn!!!

Fig tree
(ps only have a couple fo figs in our garden but it was an easy name)

Hi Fig Tree,

Welcome to our little meeting place...

Your right the Portuguese lessons are tough but I am noticing it is starting to 'sink in' and we are only half way through the course yet.

You will find that even 2 fig trees will be plenty for to two of you, make sure you get ready for drying some when they are ripe, so you can continue to have figs all year.

look forward to hearing more

Hi Fig Tree

More greetings from Alvorge - also you will be pleased to know that the diospeiro seems to have survived its move!
