Does anyone know the way/how far from Oriente station to the British Embassy - we have to pick up a certificate of cessation of British residency in order to matriculate our car and have been advised to attend in person ?

We matriculated our car at Peniche and did not have to do the cesession of residency thing.

We missed the 12 month no tax thing though, I guess you are doing it without paying import duty.

If you have the address for the Embassy try using www.multimap.com or you could be better trying this link the the embassy website for directions or just phone them. You will need to copy all the link below and past it into your browser.

The Embassy was easy to get to - we caught the train to Oriente station and then took the metro to Rato. They were very helpful at the Embassy and arranged our certificate straight away although they normally take 24 hours.

We are using a matriculation aganet in Tomar and are not paying duty. (we hope!!)
