I know its blackberries but surely it will be the same for any fruit, just been sent this by a old hand at jam making so it must be ok.
here is the recipe for making the jam.
1.5lbsapples
1lb blackberries
1pint of water
3.25lbssugar
3tbsp lemon juice
o.5 bottle of certo
1Wash and cut up the apples roughly,add the water and simmer covered for 10 mins or until tender.
2 crush the blackberries, add to the apples,cook for 10mins.
3strain through a jelly bag and measure the juice into a pan.if necessary make up to 1.5pints with water.
4add the sugar and lemon juice ,heat gently,stirring occasionally,until the sugar has dissolved.
5bring to a full rolling boil ,stir in the certo and boil rapidly for 1 minute,stirring occassionally.
6remove from the heat,skim if necessary.Pot and cover in the usual way.
PS can we try the wine when you have made it it sounds very tasty!!!!
